TIME / LOCATION
Departure/Return point: cruiser terminal in Naples.
Pick up/Departure time: suggested 8:00am but you can customize it to suit your travel needs.
Please note: ask your cruise company the time you’ll be able to disembark.
Docking and disembarkation times may not correspond, and not all passengers may disembark at the same time.
Service duration:
The price includes up to 9 hours (i.e. 8:00am pick up – 5:00pm drop off).
If you’d like to extend your day, according to your ship departure schedule you can check availability directly with your driver.
Meeting instructions:
Option 1: meet your driver on the quay as soon as you leave the ship gangway.
Option 2: if you dock at a newer pier with a gate, leave the gangway and enter the gate. Meet your driver at the exit.
Your driver will be holding a sign with your name on it.
Important: don’t catch any shuttle bus because they bring you outside of the port and it will then be more difficult to meet your driver.
TOUR SCHEDULE
- 8:00am – Meet with your private driver and depart from Naples Port
- 8:30am – Arrive in Pompeii
- 8:30am to 11:00am – Free time to visit Pompeii at your own pace
- 11:20pm – Arrive in Herculaneum
- 11:20pm to 12:50pm – Free time to visit Herculaneum at your own pace
- 1:00 to 2:30pm – free time for lunch, if desired
- 3:00pm – Arrive at Vesuvius trail start
- 3:00pm to 4:00pm – Free time to reach the Vesuvius crest at your own pace

Unfortunately, no! If you’d like to add this optional service, you must book it at the time of reservation or at least a few days in advance.

The price does not include any entrance fee. Your driver can give you all the information to buy your tickets directly on-site.

How much walking is involved in the private tour to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius from Naples Port?
The walking to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, open-air museums cities. If interested, 4 kilometers in total to reach Vesuvius crest however, this is not a hiking tour so you don’t need to be an expert hiker.
