A private tour to discover a small village famous for producing Brunello wine, one of the most prestigious red wines in Tuscany. From Florence, drive through the stunning Tuscan countryside of South Siena for a splendid day of sightseeing and wine tasting.
The scenery is breathtaking here – cypress trees, fields and livestock with extraordinary combinations of green, grey and brown landscapes. The famous Brunello wine is produced here with the local Sangiovese grapes. Every activity in the town revolves around the wine production.

Legend has it that it was founded by Emperor Charlemagne in 781. It is said that on their way back from Rome along the ancient road Via Francigena, most of the Emperor’s army came down with the plague. When the Emperor’s prayers were answered and the pestilence ceased, he founded the Abbey.

Which winery are we going to visit?
We will visit one of Tuscany’s finest wineries located in the Montalcino area.
May I choose the winery to include in the tour?
The itinerary includes a wine estate according to the logistic of the tour. If you want to visit your winery, let us know at the time of booking so we can investigate if feasible, their availability, the extra costs (if any).
May I visit more than one winery?
If you prefer visiting more wineries you can do it! Additional wine tours/tastings may be scheduled as optional at the time of booking or decided directly with the driver on the day.
In this case, the extra fee must be paid directly to the winery.
How many wineries do you suggest visiting?
It depends on your interest in wine and what kind of experience you’d like to have at each wine estate, as different experiences have different durations.
Most of our clients, even the ones focused on wine are usually very happy visiting 2 wineries.
Are meals included?
Meals are not included, you are free to decide the option that best suits your needs. Your driver can suggest you according to your tastes.
Can I buy/ship wine/olive oil?
Yes. You can buy a few bottles or a larger quantity to ship home. Make sure you know your country’s rules of taking wine back home – every country has different rules.
What is the average temperature in the wine country?
The weather varies depending on the season, it could be very hot in the summer months (June, July, August, September).
