There is a version of a wine tasting where a coach pulls up, forty people are handed a plastic cup in a courtyard, and everyone is back on board in fifty minutes. This is not that.
We take you to family estates in the Chianti hills — the ones that still bottle their own wine and still let you walk into the cellar. You taste the wine and the olive oil where they are made, and sit down to lunch that was cooked that morning for the number of people who actually turned up.
And because we are not selling you someone else’s tour, we can say what nobody else will: which bottle is worth carrying home, and which one is worth drinking here and forgetting.
