Activity level: very easy. Limited walking and few stairs.
However, due to uneven surfaces and stairs to access the wine cellars the tour is not suitable for people with wheelchairs.
Driving time: about 45 mins. each way, for a total of 90 mins.
Sightseeing time: approx. 3 hours (1.5 hrs each winery).
Wines tasted: reds typical of the Chianti region (Chianti vintage, Riserva, Super Tuscan, etc.).

TIME / LOCATION
Check-in time:
– 8:45am (if booked for the 9:00am tour departure)
– 2:15pm (if booked for the 2:30pm tour departure)
Late arrivals are considered no show
Meeting point:
Piazzale Montelungo, (Montelungo Square/bus terminal) – opposite the parking lot.
It takes approx. 8 minutes by walk from the Florence Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
If you are not familiar with the area, please allow plenty of time.
Please note: the meeting point is just a bus terminal with no facilities, so if you want a coffee, use the restroom, do it in advance.

How to recognize your tour:
Look for a red flag/checkin table, with Prestige Rent logo.
If you arrive in advance (good idea!) and you cannot recognize your guide, do not panic: your guide will be there at 8:45am or 2:15pm.
Return time:
The morning tour ends at the meeting point around 2:00pm and the afternoon tour around 7:00pm
If you book other activities, restaurants etc, please allow plenty of time in case of traffic, or unforeseen circumstances.
IMPORTANT:
We cannot hold the tour for late arrivals because it would be disrespectful to other guests. If you need more info contact us in advance, not at the last minute.
If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point for any reason, refunds will not be issued.
Arriving at the right check-in time is the best way to enjoy the experience right from the beginning.

How long is the tour?
This tour takes about 4.5 hours so you can use the balance of the day for other activities in the morning or afternoon.

How many wineries are we going to visit?
We will visit 2 of Tuscany’s finest wineries: usually Montecchio and Casa Emma. However, in case of unavailability or unforeseeable circumstances, we will visit comparable premium wineries.
Are wine tastings included?
Yes, all wine tasting fees at the 2 wineries are included on this tour.
Are meals included?
Complete meals are not included. At the second winery, there will be food pairings snacks such as salami, cheese, bruschetta and other typical Tuscan products.
Do we taste white wines?
This tour includes 2 different wineries located in the Chianti Classico area, famous for red wines. As a plus depending on the time of the year, production, etc, you may also taste some rosé or white wine (not guaranteed).
Do we visit any village in the countryside?
This tour does not include any visit to the villages in the countryside.

What is the average temperature in the wine country?
The weather varies depending on the season and it can be very hot during the summer months (Jun, Jul, August, Sep) and very cold during winter (Dec, Jan and Feb). Please dress accordingly.
What should I bring?

– All you think is necessary, according to the forecast
– Money or credit card if you want to buy/ship wine, olive oil, etc.
Can I buy/ship wine/olive oil?
Yes! You can buy a few bottles or a larger quantity to ship home. Make sure you know your country’s rules of taking wine back home – every country has different rules.
Can I join the tour with an infant/child younger than 12?
Unfortunately, no. We love infants/children however, we decided to limit the minimum age of participants to 12 years old.

Great wine tasting trip in picturesque surroundings
Lovely trip to two wineries close to Firenze. The first winery was at a beautiful estate in picturesque surroundings. Tasty wines and olive oil. The second winery had a great guide who took us through their wine making process, and we go to taste the wines with some local ham and cheese. The guide on the trip was very friendly and entertaining- and we got to experience some beautiful scenery as well. Highly recommended.

Tasty wine and the view, sublime
The meeting point was very easy to find. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The first winery we stopped at was a wealth of information on both wine and the differences in the wine making process in the region. Their wine was top notch and the balsamic vinegar is the best I’ve ever had. The second winery had the most delicious white truffle olive oil. You get to see a lot of countryside, experience the roots of Tuscan wine, and it is a very comfortable trip.

Antonio and Lorenzo were absolutely wonderful! I loved the tour, and it made our stay in Florence memorable! It was very easy to find them and they were very welcoming. Lorenzo was a wonderful guide and gave us a lot of history. I also appreciated how he gave us a 20 min warning before the bus left which allowed us some time to take pictures or purchase items if we wanted to. Both vineyards were absolutely beautiful, they never pushed products on us, but of course we got some because everything was delicious and we’re happy support their business. Would definitely 100% recommend and they are a treasure.

Great tour out of the city.
This is a great trip, it takes you out of the city into the beautiful Tuscan Countryside. Our guide was Leo and he went above and beyond to make sure you were enjoying the tour. He is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Both vineyards visited were great and the hosts were informative. The wine tasting was great along with the olive oils. The second winery also offered cheese and hams.
