Start your private day with a scenic one-hour drive through the Tuscan countryside. Then stop in Siena, the birthplace of the beloved Italian Saint Catherine.
This beautiful city is made of brown Siena-colored bricks (so that’s how they named the color!), a jumble of narrow streets and delightful squares, medieval towers that make such a spectacular skyline, its spectacular cathedral, the tall and trim Torre del Mangia. Piazza del Campo
Siena was built on three hills and is home to one of the most authentic and important Gothic cathedrals south of the Alps. TIME / LOCATION
Departure/Return point: cruiser terminal in Livorno.
Pick up/Departure time: suggested 8:00am but you can customize it to suit your travel needs.
Please note: ask your cruise company the time you’ll be able to disembark.
Sometimes docking and disembarkation time don’t correspond, and not all passengers may disembark at the same time.
Service duration:
The price includes up to 9 hours (i.e. 8:00am pick up – 5:00pm drop off).
If you’d like to extend your day, according to your ship departure schedule you can check availability directly with your driver.
Meeting instructions:
Option 1: meet your driver on the quay as soon as you leave the ship gangway.
Option 2: if you dock at a newer pier with a gate, leave the gangway and enter the gate. Meet your driver at the exit.
Your driver will be holding a sign with your name on it.
Important: don’t catch any shuttle bus because they bring you outside of the port and it will then be more difficult to meet your driver.

Which winery are we going to visit?
We will visit one of Tuscany’s finest wineries of Chianti Classico: Fattoria Montecchio, Casa Emma, Casa Sola, are just examples of possible wineries. However, in case of special events, temporary winery closures, or unforeseeable circumstances they may occasionally be substituted by comparable premium wineries.
May I choose the winery to include in the tour?
The tour includes one of the above mentioned wine estates according to the logistic of the tour. If you’d like to visit a specific winery, let us know at the time of booking so we can investigate if feasible, their availability, the extra costs (if any).
May I visit more than one winery?
The tour includes one winery due to its logistics, but if you prefer to visit more wineries you can surely do it.
Additional wine tour/tasting may be scheduled, (reducing your time in Siena) as optional at the time of booking or decided directly with the driver on the day. In this case, the extra fee must be paid by clients directly to the winery.
What experiences do wineries offer?
Generally, you can choose between the following options:
– Simple wine tasting:
Includes a wine (2/3 wines) and olive oil tasting. The perfect option if you are in the Tuscan wine country and want to have a taste of Chianti.

Visit the estate, learn about the wine making process and have wine (3/4 wines) and olive oil tasting.

Taste wines paired with typical products of the region like cold cuts, cheese, salami, prosciutto (cured ham) and bruschetta.

– Wine tour/tasting and light lunch:
Visit the estate, learn about the history and wine production process of Chianti wine. Enjoy a light lunch and learn to pair wine with food.
