Start your trip to Florence
Relax and enjoy your ride through the Tuscan countryside towards Florence. Driving up beautiful Viale Dei Colli, reach the marvelous top hill terrace Piazzale Michelangelo (named after the artist who sculpted the original David statue). Get enchanted by the most impressive views of the city.
Reach Forte Belvedere
Nearby, admire the white and green marble façade of S. Miniato al Monte church – one of the purest examples of the Florentine Romanesque style.
Leave the church and follow an uphill road bordered by the ancient city walls until you reach Forte Belvedere, a fortress built around 1590 by the Grand-duke Ferdinand to protect the Medici family villas.
Santa Croce square
Driving down from the Fort we pass the old gate to the city, named Porta Romana and get to Santa Croce Square. Here is located the imposing Basilica, burial place of many Italian illustrious such as Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo, etc.
The around the square area and nearby streets is also considered the most important leather district in Florence and thus, full of famous leather shops.
The Duomo and ancient cafés
Next, enter the very heart of Florence! Piazza della Repubblica surrounded by historical literary cafés where important intellectuals used to gather. From this central hub, walk to Piazza del Duomo and admire the Duomo, Baptistery, Giotto’s Belltower.
Then walk to Piazza della Signoria and see Palazzo Vecchio-Town Hall, the Uffizi Gallery and then you can not miss stepping elegant Ponte Vecchio meaning ‘Old Bridge’, home to famous gold and jewelry boutiques shops.
Wander in Florence
Get the chance to admire the most beautiful masterpieces of Renaissance art breathing the magical atmosphere only Florence can offer. Your driver remains at your complete disposal in case you need to reach a specific place of your interest outside of the city center.

Departure/Return point: cruiser terminal in Livorno.

Sometimes docking and disembarkation time don’t correspond, and not all passengers may disembark at the same time.
Service duration:
The price includes up to 9 hours (i.e. 8:00am pick up – 5:00pm drop off).
If you’d like to extend your day, according to your ship departure schedule you can check availability directly with your driver.
Meeting instructions:
Option 1: meet your driver on the quay as soon as you leave the ship gangway.
Option 2: if you dock at a newer pier with a gate, leave the gangway and enter the gate. Meet your driver at the exit.
Your driver will be holding a sign with your name on it.
Important: don’t catch any shuttle bus because they bring you outside of the port and it will then be more difficult to meet your driver.
- 8:00am – Meet your driver and depart from Livorno Port
- 8:00 to 9:15am – driving time Livorno to Florence
- 9:15am – Arrive in Florence and stop at Michelangelo Square for the best views
- 10:00am – Stop at Santa Croce Square (Basilica of Santa Croce and leather district)
- 10:45am to 3:45pm – Stop at Repubblica Square (the real heart of Florence) to see the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Giotto’s Belltower.
Walk to Piazza della Signoria and see Palazzo Vecchio-Town Hall, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio.
Visit Pitti Palace, San Lorenzo outdoor market, do some shopping and have lunch - 3:45pm – Depart Florence
