San Miniato church and the Medici’s fortress
Nearby, see the white and green marble façade of S. Miniato al Monte church, one of the purest examples of the Florentine Romanesque style. Leave the church and follow an uphill road bordered by the ancient city walls until we reach Forte Belvedere, an imposing fortress built around 1590 by the Grand-duke Ferdinand to protect the Medici family villas.
Pass the Roman gate and reach Santa Croce
Driving down from the Fort pass the old Roman Gate, the ancient gate to the city and get to Santa Croce Square. Here is located the imposing Basilica, burial place of Italian illustrious like Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo, etc.
The around the square area and nearby streets are the most important leather district in Florence, full of famous leather shops.

Departure time: Suggested 8:00am but you can customize it to suit your travel needs.

Service duration: The price includes up to 9 hours (i.e. 8:00am pick up – 5:00pm drop off).

Meeting instructions: As soon as you disembark catch one of the free shuttle buses waiting close to the ship, for a 2 minutes ride.
Your driver will be waiting for you where the shuttle drops you off, holding a sign with your name on it.
