Itinerary

Explore Lucca and Pisa from Livorno Port

Enjoy a perfect Tuscan day at the discovery of Lucca and Pisa from Livorno Port! Admire the Leaning Tower in Pisa and the majestic Miracle Square. Then explore the picturesque city of Lucca and have a unique wall tour!

PISA

Meet your driver at your ship in Livorno. Driving North, reach the splendid maritime city of Pisa. Visit the imposing Cathedral, Baptistery and the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Together they form one of the most beautiful and famous building groups in the world! The Miracle Square makes a perfect showplace for exquisite examples of Romanesque architecture.

Leaning Tower

Today, the Leaning Tower of Pisa has become a symbol for the entire Italian Republic and after intense restoration has finally reopened to visitors. Take a picture from beyond the impressive tour and then take the steps up to the top and get the most beautiful views over the city and the sea!

LUCCA

Next stop is Lucca, one of the most famous and glorious walled cities in Italy. Founded by the Etruscans, ancient people who lived in Tuscany, the city has even more remote origins.

In 180 BC the town became a Roman colony and from that period it retained the rectangular grid of its Roman street plan.

Wonder in Lucca

A small town with amazing places to visit: see the Romanesque cathedral of San Martino, the church of San Michele, the Basilica of San Frediano with its exquisite mosaics. Get a glimpse of the  birthplace of the composer Puccini whose house is now a small museum.

While once its wide walls were used for defense purposes, today Lucca’s citizens use it for walking and biking. If you want, rent bikes and have a ‘Wall Bike Tour’ along the city’s 17th-century walls!

At the end of your day in Lucca and Pisa from Livorno Port after a relaxing drive of approx. one hour, reach your ship at Livorno Cruiser Terminal.
