Today, the Leaning Tower of Pisa has become a symbol for the entire Italian Republic and after intense restoration has finally reopened to visitors. Take a picture from beyond the impressive tour and then take the steps up to the top and get the most beautiful views over the city and the sea!
LUCCA
The next stop is Lucca, one of the most famous and glorious walled cities in Italy. Founded by the Etruscans, ancient people who lived in Tuscany, the city has even more remote origins.
In 180 BC the town became a Roman colony and from that period it retained the rectangular grid of its Roman street plan.
Wander in Lucca
A small town with amazing places to visit: see the Romanesque cathedral of San Martino, the church of San Michele, the Basilica of San Frediano with its exquisite mosaics. Get a glimpse of the birthplace of the composer Puccini whose house is now a small museum.
While once its wide walls were used for defense purposes, today Lucca’s citizens use it for walking and biking. If you want, rent bikes and have a ‘Wall Bike Tour’ along the city’s 17th-century walls!

Departure/Return point: cruiser terminal in La Spezia.
Departure time: Suggested 8:00am but you can customize it to suit your travel needs.

Sometimes docking and disembarkation time don’t correspond, and not all passengers may disembark at the same time.
Service duration: The price includes up to 9 hours (i.e. 8:00am pick up – 5:00pm drop off).
If you’d like to extend your day, according to your ship departure schedule you can check availability directly with your driver.
Meeting instructions: As soon as you disembark catch one of the free shuttle buses waiting close to the ship, for a 2 minutes ride.
Your driver will be waiting for you where the shuttle drops you off, holding a sign with your name on it.
Please note: the schedule below is just to give an idea about distances, driving and sightseeing time, etc. and may vary depending on traffic, departure time, etc.

- 11:30am to 12:15pm – 45 mins, scenic drive Pisa to Lucca
- 12:15pm to 3:45pm – 3.5 hrs, free time to visit Lucca at your own pace with time for lunch (if interested)
- 5:00pm Arrive at La Spezia Port and drop off at your ship
