Enjoy your ride through Tuscany with postcard views over olive groves and vineyards.
Driving up the beautiful Viale dei Colli in Florence, reach the magnificent Piazzale Michelangelo, a hilltop panoramic terrace named after the artist who sculpted the original David statue, the symbol of Florence. Prepare yourself to get the most impressive views of the city!
Nearby, see the white and green marble façade of S. Miniato al Monte church – one of the purest examples of the Florentine Romanesque style. Leaving the church, follow an uphill road bordered by the ancient city walls. Reach Forte Belvedere, an imposing fortress built around 1590 by the Grand-duke Ferdinand to protect the Medici family villas.
Driving down from the Fort, pass the old gate named Porta Romana to enter the city center, and get to Santa Croce Square.
Here is located the imposing Basilica, burial place of many Italian illustrious like Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo, etc. The around the square area and nearby streets are also considered the most important leather district in Florence and thus, full of famous leather shops.
Next, head for the very heart of Florence: Piazza della Repubblica surrounded by historical literary cafes where artists and intellectuals used to gather.
From this central hub Piazza della Repubblica, reach by walk all the other attractions: Piazza del Duomo (S. Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower), Piazza Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio-Town Hall, Uffizi Gallery, etc.), the elegant Ponte Vecchio meaning ‘old bridge‘ home to famous gold and jewelry vendors.
Get the chance to admire the best masterpieces of Renaissance art breathing the magical atmosphere only Florence can offer. Obviously, your driver remains at your complete disposal to reach any place of your interest.
On the other side of the Arno river, admire Pitti Palace the private Villa of the Medici family which hosts many galleries and museums (Gallery of Modern Art, Costume Gallery, Palatine Gallery, Royal Apartments, Coach Museum, Silver and Porcelain museums, etc.) and the magnificent Boboli Gardens.
There are so many shops and trattorias to dive into, so everyone in your group can satisfy their desires whether it be a smart leather jacket, or a scrumptious plate of pasta! Few cities of comparable size can boast such a profusion and variety of high-quality goods with Italian design.
The most important street for shopping is Via De’ Tornabuoni with designer boutiques like Prada, Gucci, Armani, Ferragamo, Valentino, Vuitton, Damiani, Cartier, Trussardi, Versace, Tiffany, YSL, Zegna, Tod’s, etc. See what the local craftsmen have to offer or practice your bargaining skills at the San Lorenzo outdoor market.
After your voyage into majestic art and ancient history in Florence, relax and enjoy your drive to Pisa. Admire the Miracle Square with its magnificent Cathedral, Baptistery and the world-famous Leaning Tower.
The beautiful tower does lean and is worth the climb: nearly 300 stairs made of marble! Closed for many years, has finally reopened to visitors after intense restoration.
Enjoy the panorama over mountains, Arno river and during sunny days even on the sea. Then look down and admire the impressive views over the Duomo and Baptistery from the top.
The Leaning Tower is located in the majestic Piazza dei Miracoli, which makes a perfect showplace for these exquisite examples of Romanesque architecture. The works for building Pisa Cathedral began in 1062. The Cathedral and Baptistery, the Tower of Pisa and the Campo Santo form together one of the most beautiful and famous building groups in the world.
At the end of the day visiting Florence and Pisa from La Spezia Port, your driver will bring you back to your ship in La Spezia Port.

I don’t know anything about Florence, will the driver be able to build an itinerary to include all the highlights?
Yes, your professional English-speaking driver will create the perfect itinerary for you paying particular attention to your specific interests.
Can we reserve a local guide directly on site, on the day?
Unfortunately, no! If you want to add this optional service you must book it at the time of reservation or at least a few days in advance.
Are the entrance fees for the attractions included in the price?
The price does not include any entrance fee. If you are interested, please tell us at the time of reservation or book them directly through the website.
Keep in mind that normally in Italy, it is mandatory to have shoulders and knees covered to enter religious sites.
I’d like to visit the Accademia Museum or the Uffizi Gallery, do I need to pre-purchase the entrance fees?
Absolutely yes! First, because it is the only way to be sure about the availability, and secondly, being timed entrance fees you can arrange your day to maximize your short time ashore.
Can you prepurchase the timed entrance fees for us?
Yes, we can! This is not our main business but we offer this service to our clients through our partners.
If you prefer, you can buy the tickets on your own: Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Museum. Please pay attention to the time you choose and be sure it is feasible with the tour schedule.
If you have a doubt, ask us.
May I visit both Accademia Museum and Uffizi Gallery in Florence?
Normally and especially for the first-time visitors, due to the short time ashore we highly recommend choosing one of the 2 attractions, so you can use the balance of the time to see other highlights of Florence. However, you are free to decide how to spend your time so if it is your main interest, surely you can visit both.
Just to help you plan your day, from our experience people spend 45 mins/1 hour at Accademia Museum where the main attraction is the David by Michelangelo, and at least 2/3 hours at Uffizi Gallery.
